The splendid hall and superior quality buffet dinner that was provided held the brethren and their guests in high spirits assisted by a video projection about masonry from the UGLE digital resources and a further announcement from Howard G Wilson Trustee & Chairman of The Masonic Charities Foundation Fundraising Committee that the MCF following the District’s recent great response to charity events and urgent calls, have made an exception and opened a Relief Chest in the name of “District Grand Lodge of Cyprus – MCF General Fund” for the first time to a District abroad. There followed the auction of a painting by the father of a well-known Brother presented to the District for its charitable projects which raised almost 1,000 euros promptly donated to the MCF relief chest.
