The White Table Dinner that followed the two assemblies was undoubtedly a success, with a total number of Brethren, Companions, Guests, and Friends attending being the grand total of 256. The splendid hall and superior quality buffet dinner that was provided held the brethren and their guests in high spirits assisted by a video projection about masonry from the UGLE digital resources and a further announcement from Howard G Wilson Trustee & Chairman of The Masonic Charities Foundation Fundraising Committee that the MCF following the District’s recent great response to charity events and urgent calls, have made an exception and opened a Relief Chest in the name of “District Grand Lodge of Cyprus – MCF General Fund” for the first time to a District abroad. There followed the auction of a painting by the father of a well-known Brother presented to the District for its charitable projects which raised almost 1,000 euros promptly donated to the MCF relief chest. It was overall a very special occasion marking the opening up of Masonic activities in Cyprus after almost two years of pandemic limitations that was tremendously enjoyed by all that had the opportunity to participate.
