St George's Chapter No. 3135

Meeting at the Masonic Rooms,
Jerusalem Street,
Limassol.

2nd Friday November (installation) 2nd Friday February, 2nd Friday May

For over a century and until 1994, St. Paul’s Chapter No. 2277 served as the sole Royal Arch Chapter on the island, holding 4 of its meetings in Nicosia and one in Limassol. In the following years, membership of St. Paul’s Chapter was primarily drawn from the members of the Nicosia Lodges, leading to the Chapter moving its meeting venue to Nicosia altogether. This of course created a need for a Royal Arch Chapter in Limassol.

In the spirit of fraternal relations between the Lodges within the District, the idea was put forward by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent Michael C Hadjiconstantas, to retain St. Paul’s Chapter as the predominant Chapter in Nicosia, while Nicosia’s senior Lodge, St. George’s No. 3135 sponsored the creation of a new Chapter, to be named St. George’s Chapter No. 3135, to cater to the Royal Arch needs of the Limassol Brethren.

Accordingly, St. George’s Lodge passed a Resolution paving the way for a petition to be submitted to the Most Excellent the 1st Grand Principal, which was approved by Supreme Grand Chapter and a Charter of Constitution granted on 28th April 2022.
