R.W. Bro. Simon F.N. Waley, PDGM (Cyprus), PProvGM (West Kent) was instrumental in the early discussions between Brethren in Greece and Cyprus on the best way to facilitate Brethren living in Greece who wished to belong to an English Constitution Lodge.
In Dec 2002 it was agreed that Othello Lodge No. 5670 would form a daughter Lodge with the conditions that all meetings must be held in Cyprus so as to remain under UGLE jurisdiction, that the ritual would be Emulation and that all workings would be in English.
It was intended to consecrate the new Lodge in early 2004 but with many delays this was put back and the Lodge was eventually Consecrated on 9th October 2004 by the District Grand Master, RW Bro. Th.S. Theodossiou and his District Officers and the Oration was delivered by VW Bro. M. Morgan PGChap.
It is intended that King Tefkros should be a truly international Lodge and the brethren are always happy to admit bona fide Freemasons from around the globe. There were 51 Founders
